The best time of the year in Vienna

The atmosphere of the Christmas markets in Vienna is difficult to top. When you are about to decide where to go for Christmas shopping, mulled wine and listen to the Christmas carols, Vienna is one of the best places you can choose from. You won’t be disappointed, that is certain.

The months of April through May and September through October are considered to be the ideal times to visit Vienna. In the spring and fall, when the temperature is not that hot or not that cold anymore, there are less tourists in the city. When exactly do the Christmas markets in Vienna begin to open? The majority of the markets begin somewhere in the middle of November (between the 11th and the 22nd), and they run until the 23rd of December.
